MARGARET YOAKLEY CLAIMED BY DEATH
14-Year-Old Daughter Summers Yoakley Dies - Funeral Tomorrow Morning
Margaret Yoakley, 14-year-old daugter of David Summers Yoakley, died early yesterday evening at the family home, Waterec Street, following a short illness of scarlet fever.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning, Rev. T. P. Johnston, pastor of First Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her father, David Summers Yoakley, one sister, Elizabeth and one brother, David Summers, Jr. all of Kingsport.
Miss Yoakley was a member of the First Presbyterian church and a pupil in the eighth grade of Dobyns-Bennett High School. She stood high in her class and was well thought of by her schoolmates and teachers.
She attended school last Monday morning a week ago, but became ill before the end of the day and was sent home. Scarlet fever developed and progressed so fast that little hope was held for her recovery. Every effort was made to stem the ebb of life, but without avail. The end came about eight o'clock last evening. The deceased was the daughter of Summers Yoakley and Bessie Milhorn Yoakley, his first wife.
Complete funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Note: The above obituary says Margaret was fourteen years old at the time of her death. Tennessee Death Records say she was fifteen years old.
