Walter J. Binkley, 83, R.R.2, Westport, died at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 1991, at W.S. Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Ind.
He was born Oct. 25, 1908, in Cripple Creek, Colo., the son of Frank and Jessie Leigh Binkley. He retired in 1968 after 35 years of service with Schwinn. He was a 50 year member of the United Masonic Lodge 211 at Park Ridge, Ill.
On Feb. 20, 1960, he married Melvina DeVault in Chicago, Ill., and she survives, with one son, Edward Binkley, Fountain Valley, Calif.; one brother, Charles Binkley, Paris, Calif., and three granddaughters.
Three brothers, Frank, David and Edward Binkley, preceded him in death.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bass and Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
Cremation will follow the funeral, with final disposition to be announced at a later date.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Services will be at 11a.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service with the Rev. James Coulston officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral service.

Note: The Sam and David Wachtel mentioned in Katy's obituary are her step-sons.
