SALEM -- Gary R. Easterling, 42, died Saturday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Somerset, Ky., a former truck driver for D & M Trucking and the Ferree Transfer Co., and a member of Christian Life Baptist Church.
Survivors: his father and step-mother, C. A. and Janice Easterling of Somerset; three brothers, Michael Easterling of Lima, Ohio, Richard W. Easterling of Liberty, Ky., and Corbin W. Easterling of Connersville; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Easterling of Somerset.

Kenneth H. Blankenbaker, 82, of New Palestine passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Springhurst Health Campus, in Greenfield, IN.
He was born to the late Wesley and Anna (Rippey) Blankenbaker of Salem, IN. He graduated from Salem High School in 1949 and married Carol Day in 1949.
Kenneth is survived by his wife; Shirley Blankenbaker of New Palestine, IN, three children; Denna (David) Wright, Myron (Patricia) Blankenbaker and Amy (Neil) Van-Wart of Florida, one brother; Irvin (Patsy) Blankenbaker of Tuscan, AZ. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step children and step grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11-2 on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 with a funeral service immediately following at The Zion Lutheran Church in New Palestine.

Glenn Raymond Miller, 92 left this life on Jan 28, 2011 at his home in Salem, Indiana, with his loving family at his side. He was born October 26, 1918 in Washington County Indiana to Jesse and Agnes (Bishop) Miller. Glenn had three siblings, Ralph O. Miller, Irene Miller Lane, and Kathleen Miller Marshall Voyles of Salem, who survives.
Glenn served honorably during World War II in the U.S. Army. Glenn was a farmer who loved God’s creation of our land and animals. He farmed for his entire lifetime taking great joy in raising his animals and crops. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem, since 1947, where he served as a deacon and on the board of trustees. He served the farmers of Washington County as an ASCS representative for over 30 years. He was a member of the Salem Farmers Club for 38 years. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He married Mildred Louise Day on February 14, 1942. They have lived in Washington County all their lives. He is survived by his sweetheart and wife, Mildred. They would have been married 69 years February 14th 2011. To this union were born two children, daughter Phyllis Miller (Larry) Denny of Brownsburg, Indiana and son Melvin Raymond (Kimberly) Miller of Salem. Also surviving are two grandsons Jeffrey Denny (Wendy) and Charles Raymond Miller and two great grandchildren Alexander Michael and Meghan Grace Denny.
Funeral Service: 11 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gorman officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
