Robert Lee Keefauver
Robert Lee Keefauver, Lt Colonel USAF Ret., 77, Route 2, Sulphur Springs, passed away November 29 at Indian Path Hospital following a lingering illness.
He was the son of the late Robert and Sally Keefauver and a native of Washington County.
Mr. Keefauver was an educator; college professor, principaling high schools at home and abroad.
Retiring in St. Petersburg, Florida, he was a member of the 5th Avenue Baptist Church. He gave his time and talents helping others.
Survivors are two brothers, Clarence and William H. Keefauver; two sisters, Sue Droke and Peal [Pearl] Crouch; two sister-in-laws, Willie Keefauver and Arlene Keefauver of Jonesborough; five nieces, Florence Woodruff, Sharon Briggs of Jonesborough, Sara Katherine Slemmons and Dolene Barnes of Telford and Virginia Ann Harvey of Johnson City; three nephews, Jimmy Crouch, Washington, D.C., Jerry Keefauver, Rockford, Ill., and Jack Keefauver, Houston, Texas.
Graveside services were held at Sulphur Springs Cemetery with military honors on Monday, Dec. 1.
Note: Some of the relatives listed as "survivors" in the obituary were long deceased when Robert died.

MRS. CECILE K. CARVER
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Cecile Keefauver Carver, 39, 331 Riverside Drive, formerly of Elizabethton, Tenn., died Saturday, July 11, 1992, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Carver was a native of Jonesborough, Tenn., and a daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Whitehead Keefauver, Johnson City, Tenn.
She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Ormond Beach.
Mrs. Carver was a graduate of Jonesborough High School and attended East Tennessee State University.
Mrs. Carver was a former employee of Dr. Miller and Dr. Bradshaw.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Carver; two daughters, Logan and Julie Carver, both of the home; one brother, Vincent Keefauver, Spartanburg, S.C.; and one sister, Mrs. Ingrid Rowland, Knoxville.
