Margaret Hughes Edmonds Snapp died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, in a local nursing home.
She was born in Piney Flats, Tenn., on July 5, 1907. She was preceded in death by her first husband E.C. "Hap" Edmonds; and her second husband, Raymond H. Snapp.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan, and son-inlaw, Don Whittenburg ; grandchildren, Mark, and wife, Kay Whittenburg, Ann, and husband, Ray Eslinger ; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of Ooltewah Baptist Church, where she was an active member and much beloved Sunday school teacher. A graduate of the University of Chattanooga, she taught at Ooltewah Elementary School for many years. She truly loved her students. She, along with her husband, Hap Edmonds, coached Knothole baseball with much joy and enthusiasm. A lifelong horse lover, she was a member of the once-active Ooltewah Riding Club. Recently she was recognized as a 75-year member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She leaves a legacy of Christian love and generosity.
The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Burl McMillan officiating.
The interment will follow the service in Ooltewah Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ooltewah Baptist Church, P.O. Box 9, Ooltewah, TN 37363, or Bethel Bible Village, 3001 Hamill Road, Hixson, TN 37343. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Clark, and two brothers.

WILLIAM J. KEEFAUVER
William Joe Keefauver, 75, Rt. 5, Jonesborough, died Sunday, Oct.11, 1987, in Ashbury Center.
He was a native of Washington County and a son of the late Robert Shelton and Fannie Milhorn Keefauver.
Mr. Keefauver was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman Co.
He was a member of Central Christian Church, Jonesborough.
Mr. Keefauver was preceded in death by a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Harshbarger Keefauver, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. June Ingram, Jonesborough, Mrs. Jane Tolley, Erwin, and Mrs. Shirley McCracken, Rogersville; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice McCoy and Mrs. Edith Clark, both of Jonesborough; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
